1. General Principles
As a licensed financial institution, Nimbura primarily handles loan disbursements and repayments. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds (specifically for overpayments) are processed.
2. Overpayment Refunds
If you have paid more than your total outstanding loan balance:
- Verification: Nimbura will verify the overpayment through our internal reconciliation process.
- Refund Method: Funds will be returned only to the original bank account used for the payment.
- Timeline: Processing typically takes 7 to 14 business days.
3. Non-Refundable Fees
- Attestation Fee & Stamp Duty: These are costs for legalizing the loan agreement and processing the application. Since these services are rendered upon the activation of the loan, these fees are non-refundable once the loan has been disbursed.
4. Loan Cancellation
- Before Disbursement: You may cancel without any fees.
- After Disbursement: You must return the full principal amount immediately. Refund of deducted fees is at the sole discretion of Nimbura, depending on whether legal documents have already been stamped.
